Around 4:30 p.m. EDT, five years ago today, a major power blackout hit much of the eastern side of North America, including Toronto. As I've been hearing stories of where people were when it hit (one woman was firmly clasped in a MAMMOGRAM MACHINE!
:: faints ::), I went to my journal and read what I was writing in it, about 3 hours later. Here's a bit:
Got a lot of reading done, in the 24 hours that I didn't have power. I had enough water, and fruit which also added water, and enough food. And the kitties, fortunately, didn't ever know anything had been amiss. What a day that was!
