I just got back from various errands, and am ready to start writing and stuff for the rest of the day.

The first errand was much earlier than my usual Saturday things. I had to fast, from 7:00 p.m. last night, to at least 9:00 a.m. this morning, and go into a clinic as soon after that as possible, to get four vials of blood taken for the usual tests arising from my yearly physical.

As I sat in the clinic, making a fist while the person prodded around to find a good vein, I had a sudden flash of amusement that my book of choice for the transit ride to the clinic, was a novel with two vampires among the three main characters. Blood all over the place this morning!

Anyway, off to be creative, the rest of the afternoon.

Oh, and by the way, the book is Blood Debt, the fifth in the "Blood" series about detective Victoria Nelson, her human partner Mike Celucci, and vampire partner Henry Fitzroy. They aren't "vampire stories" as such -- they're detective stories dealing with supernatural subjects, with a vampire as one of the main characters. If you like that sort of thing and can get your hands on the series, they're very enjoyable.
